Conference Theme

Bridging the Gap.

Objectives of Conference
  1. To provide information related to the recent advances of in different specialties of dentistry.
  2. To provide a platform for undergraduate and postgraduate students, researchers, and dental practitioners to share their clinical and research work.
  3. To provide an opportunity for dental practitioners, researchers, and undergraduate and postgraduate students to interact and collaborate with participants from other Universities.
  4. To enhance the research knowledge and clinical skills of undergraduate and postgraduate students, dental practitioners, and researchers

Abstract Submission
  • All submissions must be in the English language.
  • Authors are responsible for the correct spelling (use of symbols etc.) of the name and institutions of the authors and the accuracy of all abstract information and data.
  • The abstract must include appropriate credit to all contributing authors and their associated institutions. The submitted abstracts must clearly report any conflict of interest.
  • All co-authors must agree to the statement that the abstract can be submitted for presentation.
  • Authors may co-author multiple submissions but present only ONE presentation.
  • The presenter must be registered for the conference for inclusion of the abstract in the conference.
Abstract Format (for both poster and oral presentations)

Abstracts must NOT contain figures, tables, photographs or illustrations.

Abstracts must be a maximum of 250 words and include the following sections:

*Case Report Abstract Format:

  • Background (A few sentences providing information relevant to case)
  • Case summary (chief complaint, other pertinent historical and examination data, diagnostic investigations, and results (laboratory, radiographic, etc.), and therapeutic or management strategies/outcomes)
  • Conclusions (significance/relevance of case)

*Original Investigation Abstract Format:

  • Objectives (aims/purpose, hypotheses, and goals of the investigation)
  • Methods (brief description of experimental procedures including statistics)
  • Results (findings of statistical analysis)
  • Conclusions (one or two major conclusions that are supported by results)
Rejection reasons
  • The abstract is incomplete or poorly organized;
  • The abstract has substantial grammatical errors;
  • Information is missing (aim, methods, results, data and statistical analysis, discussion, conclusions);
  • The subject is not relevant or not considered as scientific or educational research;
  • Well-defined criteria are not committed for the evaluation of variables;
  • The conclusions are not supported by the results.
  • Abstract is not original research.
  • The research is not innovative in its approach to the stated problem (methodology or data collection or analysis or data interpretation).
  • Nature of problem not explicit from either title or abstract.
  • Material too closely related to another abstract submitted by the same co-authors; should have been combined into a single paper.
  • Abstract has been presented at other meeting(s) or previously published.
  • Abstract poorly organized and/or not complete. Required information not given in abstract:
  1. Objective
  2. Methods
  3. Results
  4. Conclusions
  • Size of sample insufficient to show significant conformity or differences. No well-defined criteria given for evaluation of variables.
  • Choice of controls questionable.
  • No control groups reported
  • Abstract is not in English.
  • Abstract is over word count.
Poster competition

Student poster competition is organized at the Conference, to encourage students and recent graduates to present their original research or case report. Based on the judging criteria, awards will be given to the best poster presentation.
